Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal host their first home game of the 2020-21 Premier League season on Saturday when West Ham United visit the Emirates Stadium.

The match is a second successive London derby to begin the new campaign for the Gunners, who got off to a flying start by beating Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage on the opening day.

Mikel Arteta's debutants shone while Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got on the scoresheet in just about a perfect opener for Arsenal.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of their latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's contest against the Hammers.

Granit Xhaka

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 19 (vs. West Ham)

The only hint of a downside to Arsenal's win at Fulham was an ankle injury picked up by Granit Xhaka. However, the midfielder was not withdrawn immediately and is expected to be available for this match.

David Luiz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Neck
Possible return date: Unknown

David Luiz picked up a neck problem ahead of the opening match of the season and some reports have suggested that he could be sidelined until next month with the issue.

Shkodran Mustafi

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Shkodran Mustafi is now off crutches as he continues to recover from a thigh problem, but he is not expected back in training until mid-October.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: September 19 (vs. West Ham)

Sokratis suffered a "mild strain" in training ahead of the opening game of the season but is expected to be back in the fold this week and should be available for selection on Saturday.

Gabriel Martinelli

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Martinelli is a long-term absentee for the Gunners after undergoing knee surgery which is expected to keep him sidelined until next year.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Liverpool)

Saturday's match will come too soon for Pablo Mari, but the Spaniard is not too far away from returning to training following an ankle problem and could be back available by the end of this month.

Calum Chambers

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Calum Chambers continues to work his way back from a serious knee injury and is not expected back until the latter stages of this year.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: Unknown

Highly-rated youngster Emile Smith Rowe is expected to challenge for a place among the first-team squad this season, but his hopes of doing so have been hampered by a shoulder injury. The midfielder is currently in a protective sling, but that is expected to be removed by the end of the week and a return to training should follow soon afterwards.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no suspension issues heading into this contest.
