Arsenal reportedly have concerns over the availability of Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of the North London derby on October 1.
Partey is currently on international duty with Ghana, but the midfielder was left out of the squad for Brazil's 3-0 friendly defeat.
According to football.london, the 29-year-old was left out as a 'precautionary measure', but after missing four Premier League games through injury this season, Partey's absence will be a worry for Mikel Arteta.
While Partey is not expected to be involved against Nicaragua on Tuesday, Tomisayu will also be absent from Japan's friendly meeting with Ecuador.
The right-back played the full 90 minutes of Friday's 2-0 win over the United States, but he has been withdrawn from the squad for Tuesday's friendly.
A statement from the Japanese FA states that Tomiyasu has been withdrawn "due to club circumstances", suggesting that an agreement was in place with Arsenal over the player's game time.
Arsenal will be hopeful that the pair are available for the clash with rivals Tottenham Hotspur, while Martin Odegaard and Oleksandr Zinchenko have returned to training ahead of the North London derby. body check tags ::
