Sports Mole takes a closer look at Arsenal's 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

Arsenal saw their 10-game winning streak in all competitions come to an end on Sunday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

The hosts took the lead in the 41st minute when Claudio Yacob rose highest to head in his first goal for the club.

However, the Gunners earned themselves a point with just over 25 minutes left thanks to Jack Wilshere's powerful strike.

Sports Mole takes a closer look at the action between the two sides at The Hawthorns.

Was the result fair?

Overall, a share of the spoils was the right result. Both teams gave as good as they got, with some dynamic attacking play throughout. West Brom were not afraid to push forward whenever possible and were admirable for not letting their heads drop after conceding the equaliser. Meanwhile, Arsenal just lacked the magic that they have been showing in recent weeks but were good value for a point nonetheless.

West Brom's performance

The Baggies were solid defensively, while their midfield worked tirelessly to combat the flair of Arsenal. Steve Clarke is likely to be pleased with what he saw from his players, who all worked hard for the duration of the contest. A touch more ruthlessness in front of goal and they could even have come away with a win.

Arsenal's performance

If anything, the Gunners were stifled against West Brom. Their usually tricky midfield was afforded little time on the ball, and that affected the service to Olivier Giroud as the lone striker. However, this way by no means a bad display from Arsene Wenger's side, who refused to be beaten and fought until the final whistle to keep their winning run going.

Sports Mole's man of the match

Youssouf Mulumbu: West Brom's midfielder was at his hustling best against Arsenal, breaking up opposition attacks while distributing the ball calmly to set his side away at the other end of the pitch.

Biggest gaffe

Nicolas Anelka had a glorious chance to extend the home side's lead early in the second half, but he somehow curled the ball wide of the post with just the goalkeeper to beat.

Referee performance

Lee Mason did well to turn down a handful of dodgy penalty appeals from both sides during what was an assured afternoon for the official. There were one or two poor decisions, though these were few and far between.

What next?

West Brom: The Baggies return to Premier League action on October 19 with a trip to Stoke City.

Arsenal: The Gunners continue their league campaign on October 19 when they play host to Norwich City.
