Former Leicester City and Arsenal striker Alan Smith has urged Jamie Vardy to move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Arsene Wenger's side have triggered a £20m release clause in the 29-year-old's contract, although the player himself remains undecided on his future.
Arsenal may be forced to wait until after Euro 2016 for a decision, but Smith, who made the same move in 1987, believes that it is too big an opportunity for Vardy to miss.
"I know Leicester are in the Champions League but Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the country," he told talkSPORT
"I will probably upset Leicester fans, but my advice is I think he should grab it [the chance to join Arsenal].
"The chances are this this kind of opportunity won't come again and you have got to make the very most of your opportunities during the course of your career."
Smith spent five years with Leicester before going on to score 115 goals in 264 appearances for Arsenal.
