Fulham are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo in the January transfer window.

The Cottagers will be pleased with their work in the first half of the season despite being held to a 2-2 draw in their recent home meeting with Bournemouth.

Fulham gave up the lead on a couple of occasions against the Cherries, with the result representing their fourth draw in five matches.

However, the draw extended their unbeaten run to seven matches (W2, D5), leaving them in eighth position and just one point adrift of the European places.

With Fulham firmly in the hunt for European qualification, Marco Silva will be keen to add to his squad in the January transfer window to boost his side's hopes of playing in a UEFA competition next season.

Fulham keen on Liverpool's Endo

According to the Daily Mail, Fulham have emerged as a potential contender to sign out-of-favour Liverpool midfielder Endo.

The report claims that Fulham would look to pursue a deal if it becomes Liverpool shows a willingness to offload Endo in the January transfer window.

Liverpool previously rejected a £11.8m bid from Marseille for the Japan international in the most recent summer transfer window.

They are under no immediate pressure to part ways with Endo, with the player under contract until the summer of 2027.

How plausible is a January move?

However, the Premier League leaders may entertain a potential departure if they receive a suitable offer for Endo's services.

Endo is low down the pecking order in Arne Slot's squad, demonstrated by the fact that he is yet to make a start in the Premier League or Champions League this season.

The former Stuttgart man has featured in just 13 competitive matches this term, including eight substitute appearances in the top flight.

Fulham could potentially offer Endo a chance to gain more playing time, although he would have to compete with the likes of Sasa Lukic, Sander Berge, Tom Cairney, Josh King and Harrison Reed. body check tags ::
