Arsenal have reportedly taken action against academy coach Mark Arber following claims that he bet on the arrival of Mesut Ozil.
The North London outfit investigated a tweet sent by Arber suggesting that he had put money on odds of 14-1 for Ozil to join the Gunners on deadline day.
The transfer eventually came to fruition, with Arsenal agreeing a club-record £42.5m fee for the German international with Real Madrid.
According to BBC Sport, a statement was released by the club claiming that Arsenal have taken "appropriate action" against Arber.
The Football Association also have strict rules on betting.
