Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil has said that he 'wishes' he had the opportunity to help the Gunners overcome their difficulties.
Ozil has not made a single appearance for Mikel Arteta's side this season, having been left out of their squads for both the Premier League and group stages of the Europa League.
The 32-year-old appears to have played his last game for the club, with his contract at the Emirates Stadium due to expire in June 2021.
Arsenal are currently down in 15th spot in the Premier League table, losing five of their last seven in England's top flight, while they were also thumped 4-1 by Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
During a Q&A on Twitter, the former Germany international hinted that he is frustrated not to be in a position to help the team negotiate a difficult period.
"It's a very difficult time for everyone around the club – not just for me. The situation is frustrating for everyone. Of course I would wish I could help the team especially right now, but as long as I don't get the chance I just hope that we get better results very soon again," Ozil tweeted.
Arsenal are next in Premier League action at home to Chelsea on Boxing Day.
