Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes that Martin Odegaard is becoming "a real leader" for the Gunners following their hard-fought 1-0 win at Burnley on Saturday.
In a game that was lacking in quality for the vast majority of the 90 minutes, Odegaard's sublime first-half free kick propelled Arsenal to their second Premier League win on the bounce at Turf Moor.
The Norway captain was the Gunners' priority target throughout the most recent transfer window, and Arteta believes that - despite his age - he is already demonstrating leadership qualities.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Arteta said: "He scores, he has quality to find pockets and he works so hard. He's becoming a real leader in the team."
Arsenal boast six points from their opening five Premier League matches of the season and now prepare for battle with AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
