Aaron Ramsey has admitted that he needs to score more regularly to earn a place in the Arsenal side.
The Welsh midfielder has found the net just once for the Gunners so far this season with a delicate chip against Olympiakos in October.
Ramsey believes that playing in an unfamiliar wide role has not helped his cause but has insisted that he is working hard to be a more clinical finisher.
He told The Sun: "I need to score more goals and I could be a bit more composed.
"I am scoring in training and last season, during matches, I got in loads of positions but rushed it. I need to be more relaxed in front of goal. Maybe I should place my shots when I am trying to go for a bit more power.
"To be a complete midfielder, you need goals in your game. Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard have done that. They can tackle, they can pass and they can score. It is something me and Jack Wilshere would admit we could add to our game. It is about composure."
The 21-year-old is in Arsene Wenger's squad for today's match against Aston Villa.
