Arsenal playmaker Tomas Rosicky has revealed that he had to stay positive in the battle he faced to return from injury.
The Czech Republic international has only appeared twice for the Gunners this season, and had to be replaced at half time on Tuesday after scoring against Olympiacos in the Champions League.
However, Rosicky believes that injuries are all a part of the game.
"For the position I play, I always have someone on my back when I receive the ball - how can I defend myself against that, when someone kicks you?" said Rosicky.
"I had taken a kick on my Achilles during the season, and they finished me off in the Euros. It is part of the game, you have to take it, but it is difficult for me.
"If you start to feel sorry for yourself, that is the worst thing you can do - you have to fight constantly, so that is what I do."
Rosicky is fit for Arsenal's match with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
