Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that he is 'satisfied' by the way that his side remained resilient to beat Burnley 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised his players for remaining patient to beat a stubborn Burnley side 3-0 in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Gunners were frustrated by the Clarets for 70 minutes at the Emirates Stadium, before Alexis Sanchez powered a header beyond Tom Heaton to break the deadlock.

That goal saw Arsenal move up another gear as Calum Chambers added number two shortly after, before Sanchez rounded off the scoring late on.

"We had strong team pressure and we had to intensify that in the second half, which we did, and slowly you could see that the chances were coming and it became easy once it was 2-0," Wenger is quoted as saying by FourFourTwo. "But they did fight very hard and we didn't make mistakes at the back and overall I think it was a very satisfying win.

"Recently at home we did not get the results we wanted but for the confidence of the team as well it is important to win without conceding a goal.

"In recent games we were not patient at home and we have learned maybe, and we look a bit more balanced between offence and defence and less in trouble when we lose the ball. Today we were serious and that is very important to the efficiency."

Arsenal, who travel Swansea City next weekend, moved up to fourth in the table following today's triumph.
