Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger reveals that he has set himself a date to make a decision on how to continue with his career.

Arsene Wenger has said that he is still "in shock" over his departure from Arsenal, and has suggested that he will know where his future lies within the next four weeks.

Last month, it was revealed that Wenger would step down from his long-serving role with the Gunners, and the Frenchman has now officially left his position at the Emirates Stadium after 22 years with the North London outfit.

Reports have linked Wenger with numerous different clubs and varying job capacities, and it appears that a quick decision will be made.

Wenger told The Guardian: "It's just too soon to know what I will do next. I haven't even emptied my desk yet and in a way I am still in a state of shock. I am going to give myself until June 14, the day the World Cup begins, to decide.

"The question is do I still want to coach, to be on the bench, or is it time to take up different functions? The one thing I can say for sure is that I will continue to work.

"Do I want to continue to suffer as much? I want to continue to defend my ideas of football, that's for sure. Spontaneously, I would say I still want to coach but I can't really say that yet for sure."

In total, Wenger managed 1,235 matches in charge of Arsenal.
