Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere believes that he can be back to his best by Christmas if he continues to work hard in training.
Wilshere scored his first goal since returning from a 17-month absence with a strike against Montpellier in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The England international revealed that manager Arsene Wenger wants to see him step things up for the festive period, a target he is more than happy to aim for.
He told the club's official website: "On Wednesday night we started the game off sloppily, and I was one of those who kept giving the ball away.
"That's tough when you come back and start badly in a game. But we've got great players here and they keep you going.
"Percentage-wise, I'm probably 80 to 85. I'm feeling better and better with every game and I think I heard the boss say at Christmas you'll see me back to my best. I think that's probably a reasonable timescale."
Wilshere is in the Arsenal squad to face Aston Villa this weekend.
