Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to be passed fit to return at left-back for Arsenal against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
The former Manchester City left-back missed his side's training on Wednesday as a precaution following his recent calf injury, but he was a surprise starter against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby last weekend.
As such, the Ukraine international should be able to replace Kieran Tierney after missing out against Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Only Granit Xhaka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel retained their places in Mikel Arteta's starting XI for the comfortable 3-0 victory against the Norwegian champions, and that trio will almost certainly go again in what is likely to be an unchanged team from the one that defeated their fiercest rivals Spurs 3-1.
Gabriel Jesus bagged his fifth league goal in eight games since joining Zinchenko in making the switch from champions Man City to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, and the 25-year-old should head into Sunday's clash against Liverpool with plenty of confidence having scored four goals in eight league games for the Citizens against the Reds.
Club captain Martin Odegaard will hope to exploit any space between the lines - especially if Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp opts to start with two central midfielders as opposed to three, as he did against Rangers in midweek - with Fabio Vieira proving himself as an excellent deputy in the attacking midfield role having added to his tally against Bodo/Glimt.
Arsenal wingers Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are likely to be licking their lips at the prospect of dribbling against Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kostas Tsimikas respectively, with both visiting full-backs generally preferring to play on the front foot.
Ben White is likely to continue in a more conservative full-back role, which could help combat the threat of Luis Diaz on that flank, next to the imperious William Saliba in defence.
Emile Smith Rowe and Mohamed Elneny are both expected to remain sidelined with muscle issues.
Arsenal possible starting lineup: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus
