Chelsea have lost left-back Ben Chilwell to a hamstring injury ahead of Sunday's Premier League London derby with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
The England international is set to undergo scans over the weekend to determine the severity of the problem, but there are already fears that he will not be ready for the World Cup.
Graham Potter is also coping without Carney Chukwuemeka (hamstring), N'Golo Kante (thigh), Reece James (knee), Wesley Fofana (knee) and Kepa Arrizabalaga (foot), so the hosts' defensive options are somewhat limited.
Edouard Mendy will keep his place in goal as Kepa sits out, while Thiago Silva will be expected to earn a recall to the backline alongside Trevoh Chalobah and Kalidou Koulibaly - forcing Cesar Azpilicueta out in the process.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek may be required at wing-back versus the Gunners to try to keep Gabriel Martinelli in check, and Chilwell's injury has opened up a spot on the left for Marc Cucurella to return.
Mateo Kovacic is expected to recover from a tight calf in time to line up next to Jorginho, with Potter possibly wanting to avoid giving Denis Zakaria his first taste of Premier League action against the league leaders, despite his strong debut against Dinamo Zagreb.
Zakaria also picked up a small contact injury in that game, but it will not be enough to rule him out of the derby, where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will reunite with his former employers.
The 33-year-old will certainly hope to be given the nod from the first whistle here, and he could be joined by Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling in the final third.
Chelsea possible starting lineup: Mendy; Chalobah, Silva, Koulibaly; Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Kovacic, Cucurella; Mount; Aubameyang, Sterling
