A first-minute Theo Walcott goal has given Arsenal a 1-0 win over relegated Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League.
It was the perfect start for Arsenal as they raced into the lead with the fastest Premier League goal of the season so far.
Armand Traore gave the ball away, which allowed Walcott to race clear of the defence and roll Arsenal into the lead after just 21 seconds.
Arsenal were in control of the game and could have been 2-0 up after 25 minutes, but this time Walcott's composure let him down as he struck the post after being found by Tomas Rosicky.
QPR came into the game in the last 15 minutes of the first half, but were restricted to shots from distance as Stephane Mbia fired over from 25 yards.
Wojciech Szczesny was finally called into action 10 minutes into the second half as he saved first from Andros Townsend and then Loic Remy in the same QPR move.
Then it was Rob Green's turn as he saved from Santi Cazorla and Walcott in the space of five minutes.
Szczesny then made the save of the game from Remy with five minutes to play, somehow getting down to clip away a curling Remy effort.
