Arsenal have reportedly identified Borussia Monchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi as a possible transfer target this summer.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is thought to have made the signing of a new centre-back one of his top priorities when the transfer window reopens as he looks to bolster his defensive ranks ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
However, the coronavirus pandemic has forced Arsenal to revise their transfer plans and search for cheaper options.
Le 10 Sport claims that Elvedi has emerged as a target for the North London outfit, with Monchengladbach open to cashing in on the 23-year-old before his contract expires next year.
Elvedi would reportedly be available for around £25m this summer, although Arsenal could face competition for his signature from Bayern Munich.
The Switzerland international has made 32 appearances for Monchengladbach across all competitions this season and 158 for the club since joining in 2015.
