Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge.
The Norway international has earned plenty of plaudits since arriving at Bramall Lane, but Berge has been powerless to stop Sheffield United's alarming slump at the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
With the Blades languishing in 20th place without a victory to their name in the Premier League so far this term, Berge could reportedly seek a move away to ensure that he is still playing top-flight football next season.
According to Norwegian outlet VG, Arsenal have taken a liking to Berge and would be keen to strike a deal for the 22-year-old, with Mikel Arteta looking to bolster his midfield options.
Arteta currently has Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos, Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny to choose from in the heart of the midfield, although the latter two are currently sidelined and Ceballos's future past 2021 remains uncertain.
Berge is contracted to Sheffield United until the end of the 2023-24 season, where he boasts two goals in 25 games since his arrival.
