Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo from Roma this summer.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season last term, establishing himself as a regular in the Roma first team and earning a maiden call-up to the Italy squad as a result of his performances.
Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for Zaniolo as they look to bolster their squad in order to challenge for the Premier League title next season, but Gazzetta dello Sport claims that they could face competition from their North London rivals.
Arsenal are in the market for midfield reinforcements this summer and have reportedly earmarked Zaniolo as a potential target.
However, Roma's asking price could prove to be a sticking point for the Gunners, with the Italian outfit holding out for significantly more than the £45m transfer budget at Unai Emery's disposal.
Juventus have also been credited with an interest in Zaniolo, who is happy to stay at Roma but also open to the idea of leaving the club.
