Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly willing to part ways with three defenders as part of a summer overhaul at the Emirates.
Arteta is supposedly planning a major reshuffle of his squad ahead of the 2020-21 campaign - and bolstering the Gunners' defence appears to be a priority for the Spaniard.
Indeed, according to The Athletic, the centre-back trio of Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding could all be axed by Arteta in order to balance the books amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The report claims that the three defenders are surplus to requirements in North London, and Arteta is hoping to part ways with the trio in order to cut their combined weekly salary of £207,000 off the Arsenal wage bill.
The Gunners manager is already preparing to welcome back William Saliba and Konstantinos Mavropanos from season-long loan spells this summer, while Pablo Mari is allegedly keen to sign for Arsenal on a permanent deal from Flamengo.
