Barcelona have reportedly identified Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal as a potential summer signing.
First-choice left-back Jordi Alba committed his future to the Catalan giants earlier this month, but Ernesto Valverde remains keen to bring in backup for the Spain international.
Liverpool's Alberto Moreno has been strongly linked with a switch to Camp Nou, but according to Sport, Monreal could move to Barcelona in the summer.
The report claims that the 33-year-old is happy to return to his homeland in order to represent the La Liga leaders, while there is also a desire to work with Ernesto Valverde.
Monreal effectively has just over a year remaining on his deal due to a clause in his contract, but Arsenal may be willing to part ways with the long-serving defender in order to free up space on their wage bill.
