West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has admitted that he is keen to sign Havard Nordtveit.
Borussia Monchengladbach revealed at the weekend that the defensive midfielder had rejected their offer of a new contract in favour of a summer move to England.
Bilic has now confirmed West Ham's interest in the 25-year-old, but he added that they face competition from "many clubs".
"Many clubs are interested in Nordtveit and are monitoring the situation. We are also interested in him," the Croat told reporters.
Nordtveit started his career in the Arsenal academy and has also been linked with a return to the Emirates Stadium.
