Stan Collymore: 'Arsenal should sign Christian Benteke'

:Headline: Stan Collymore: 'Arsenal should sign Christian Benteke': ID:224580: from db_amp
Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore believes that Arsenal should attempt to sign Christian Benteke from his old club.

Former Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has said that Arsenal should look to sign Christian Benteke.

The Villa frontman has been linked with several Premier League sides after his goals helped Tim Sherwood's side to avoid relegation this season.

Collymore believes that Benteke would boost Arsenal's chances of winning the title next season.

"Arsenal still need a world-class centre-forward," Collymore wrote for Bleacher Report.

"For me, that would be someone such as Christian Benteke of Aston Villa, who will be much sought after. I don't know if Olivier Giroud or Danny Welbeck will win you the league."

Benteke has scored 13 goals in 28 league appearances this season.
