Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy has emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United just a year after leaving the club, according to reports.
The 31-year-old moved to the Emirates for a fee of around £12m, but has found first-team football hard to come by after losing his place in Arsene Wenger's side to Hector Bellerin.
After failing to win a place in the latest France squad, Debuchy has reportedly signalled his intention to leave the Gunners, and despite rumoured interest from Juventus, Steve McClaren is ready to bring Debuchy back to the North-East, according to the Daily Star.
However, the Magpies will also face competition for his signature from Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco, the newspaper adds.
Debuchy, who has 26 caps for France, has featured just three times for Arsenal this season, and has not appeared in the Premier League since the home defeat to West Ham United on the opening day of the season.
