Real Betis defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez has confirmed that he is aware of the reports indicating that Arsenal are interested in signing him this summer.
Rodriguez has made 43 appearances for Real Betis since joining in a €3m (£2.6m) deal from Mexican club CF America in January 2020.
The Argentina international has a £68m release cause in his contract, yet Betis could reportedly sell him at a cheaper price due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is thought to be very keen on signing Rodriguez after Arsenal's scouts spent months assessing the player.
The 26-year-old has now revealed that he is aware of Arsenal's reported interest, telling Estadio Deportivo: "I saw it because friends from Argentina asked me, but I told them that I knew the same as them.
"I am very happy [at Betis], I arrived and there was one or two months with a strange situation for everyone with the issue of confinement but the truth is that I am very happy in Seville, with the city, the weather, at the club... I'm very happy."
Rodriguez is currently on international duty with Argentina, who face Uruguay on Saturday.
