Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has reportedly been offered a two-month loan deal at the Emirates Stadium.
The New York Red Bulls forward had been training with his former club during the MLS off-season.
The 34-year-old is expected to sign a contract in the next 48 hours.
If a deal is agreed, the Frenchman could feature for the Gunners in both legs of their Champions League knockout match against AC Milan.
He would also be eligible to face Manchester United on January 22 and the derby against Tottenham Hotspur on February 26.
Henry became Arsenal's all-time leading goalscorer during a previous eight-year spell with the North London side.
