Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed that he hopes Robin van Persie remains at the club, despite the striker's contract situation.
Van Persie has just one year remaining on his contract, and he has been the subject of huge speculation regarding a move to Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus, but Henry wants the Dutchman to stay at the club.
Henry told Sky Sports News: "We hope he stays, and that is the way it is.
"I don't know exactly what is happening but as an Arsenal fan, I want him to stay.
"He is still an Arsenal player and the boss has to deal with that."
Henry, who now plays for New York Red Bulls, scored 226 goals in 369 appearances for the Gunners.
