Riyad Mahrez has reportedly demanded wages in excess of £100,000 in order to remain at Leicester City this season.
The 25-year-old winger has been subject of transfer interest from Arsenal in recent weeks, with an offer of £45m thought to have been tabled by the Gunners.
While Mahrez was initially keen to switch to the North London side, the Daily Mail claims that he is now prepared to sign fresh terms with the Premier League champions if they meet his salary expectations.
The Algerian still has three years left to run on his current, £40,000-a-week contract but is seeking wage parity with star striker Jamie Vardy - over £100,000 a week - in order to stay put.
Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri has insisted that he is confident of Mahrez remaining with his side this summer, describing it as a "better" option for his career.
