Manchester City have reportedly won the race for Coritiba youngster Yan Couto.
The 17-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for Coritiba but has impressed for their Under-20 side.
Barcelona were thought to be leading the race for the teenager, who has been capped on 13 occasions by Brazil's Under-17 side.
However, according to Gazeta do Povo, City have secured the defender's signature ahead of this summer's transfer window, with the English champions beating both Barca and Arsenal to a deal.
The report claims that Pep Guardiola's side will pay an initial €6m (£5m) for Couto, although the deal could rise a further €6m (£5m) in performance-based bonuses.
The right-back was also believed to be on Bayer Leverkusen's shortlist ahead of the next transfer window.
