Manchester City have reportedly reignited their interest in Bayer Leverkusen youngster Florian Wirtz ahead of this summer's transfer window.
The 19-year-old has featured nine times in the Bundesliga so far this season having only returned from a serious knee ligament injury in January, contributing with four assists as his Leverkusen side hunt down a top-six spot in the standings.
Having played four times for the German national team since his debut in March 2021, Wirtz is regarded as a potential star for Die Mannschaft, who under Hansi Flick will be looking to win Euro 2024.
According to 90min, Premier League giants Manchester City have re-entered the race to secure the services of Wirtz in the summer, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund also interested in the player.
The report claims that Leverkusen do not see the German leaving BayArena after the conclusion of this season, however that stance could change if a sizeable offer is tabled for the attacker.
Xabi Alonso's side are said to be confident of retaining Wirtz next campaign as the 19-year-old looks to ensure regular gametime in order to be included in Germany's squad for next year's Euros.
Wirtz and Bayer Leverkusen face relegation-threatened Schalke 04 after this month's international break, whilst Manchester City resume their title charge against Liverpool at the Etihad.
