The imminent arrival of Monchi as their new sporting director will reportedly give Arsenal a big advantage in their pursuit of AC Milan attacker Suso.
Arsenal are believed to have watched the former Liverpool ace up close a few times this season and have been tipped to make an approach in the summer.
However, the Gunners could face competition from a couple of their Premier League rivals, as Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to have shown an interest.
With Monchi expected to be appointed by Arsenal in the coming weeks, though, Tuttosport suggests that the North London side are at the front of the queue to land the 25-year-old.
Monchi has already tried to sign Suso during his time at Roma and will pick up those negotiations at his new club if Unai Emery, who he is also on good terms with, green lights the transfer.
