Real Madrid will sell striker Alvaro Morata to Arsenal if a bid of £38m is placed on the table, according to a report.
The Gunners, who completed the signing of Granit Xhaka on Wednesday, are thought to be in the market for a new goalscorer to spearhead a Premier League title push.
Morata is currently a Juventus player, but Madrid are expected to invoke the buy-back clause inserted into his contract which will allow them to sell him on at a higher price.
Both Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with the Spain international but, according to The Sun, the Gunners currently lead the race to land the highly-rated forward.
However, it is claimed that Madrid will only consider selling if their valuation of the player is met, with the hope that a bidding war could be sparked by the Premier League rivals.
Morata failed to hold down a starting spot during his two years in Real's senior fold, but has since impressed at Juventus despite a tally of just seven league goals for the club this season.
