Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that he wants to keep Yaya Sanogo at the club rather than look to give the striker a loan move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Sanogo scored four times as the Gunners hammered Benfica 5-1 in their pre-season clash, and although Wenger feels that he has options, he wants the 21-year-old to continue his progression at the club.
He told reporters: "We have some decisions to make when everybody plays well, that's true. But when everybody plays well that's what we want. They need to play of course but they need to play here.
"Sanogo came last year on a free and we worked very hard for six months with him and from January onwards he was slowly getting better. Now that we have worked very hard with him, we want him to stay here."
Sanogo made 14 appearances for Arsenal last season following his move from Auxerre.
