Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs has been drafted into the England squad in place of the injured Ryan Bertrand.
Bertrand was forced off less than 20 minutes into his side's 2-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Malta at Wembley this evening after picking up a hamstring injury.
The Southampton defender has subsequently been ruled out of Tuesday's match against Slovenia, with Gibbs taking his place in Gareth Southgate's squad.
Gibbs is yet to make a Premier League start for Arsenal this season having fallen behind Nacho Monreal in the pecking order, with the 27-year-old being restricted to just 37 minutes on the pitch so far.
Bertrand becomes the latest player to withdraw from Southgate's squad due to injury after Adam Lallana, Raheem Sterling, Danny Drinkwater and Phil Jagielka also pulled out.
