Steve Bruce has reportedly been called in to a meeting with Aston Villa's new owners this Wednesday amid doubts over his future at Villa Park.
The Villans have endured a difficult summer as their failure to win promotion to the Premier League saw the historic West Midlands club slip into financial trouble.
However, Villa announced on Friday that Egyptian businessman Nassef Sawiris and American financier Wes Edens would be providing "significant investment" to the club.
According to Sky Sports News, Bruce will meet with Sawiris and Edens this week, where he will learn whether he still has a future at B6.
Bruce has acknowledged that the club's new owners may wish to appoint their own manager, amid speculation that Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry - currently Belgium assistant manager - could take the reins.
Villa's first game of the new Championship season is against Hull City on Monday, August 6.
