Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley has said that manager Tim Sherwood has given the team confidence following their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
The club are now six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, and Sherwood has led the team to 10 points in eight league matches since joining in February.
"He's brought belief and a bounce into people's strides. That's no disrespect to Paul Lambert I liked him," Cleverley told Sky Sports News.
"He is good and has given people confidence and made everyone feel a part of it, which has given people confidence."
Cleverley has made 23 appearances for Aston Villa since arriving on loan from Manchester United last summer.
