Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar has admitted that the club need to eradicate defensive mistakes if they are to succeed this season.
Villa sit in 15th in the Premier League after a disappointing campaign, and the 30-year-old has criticised the club's defending.
"We're very disappointed – everyone is gutted. We made two very expensive mistakes at the back and conceded two goals and that killed the game," Cuellar told The Mirror.
"It was very frustrating for the whole team, and for the defenders in particular. I made a mistake with one ball which led to a goal and I know that is not good enough."
Villa face Chelsea on Saturday.
