Paul Lambert has revealed that he is "delighted" to have been appointed the new manager of Aston Villa.
The Scottish boss was unveiled at a press conference this afternoon following his decision to leave Norwich City last week.
His exit from the Canaries has been the subject of much speculation in recent days, as the parties are believed to have had a disagreement over the club's finances ahead of the new season.
When asked about his departure from Carrow Road, Lambert replied: "I had my reasons which will remain private. I'm delighted to be here, I really am.
"That chapter in my time is finished. I had three incredible years there. I have to look to future, as do Norwich.
"As I have said before they are a fabulous club."
Reports have claimed that Lambert decided to resign as Norwich boss in order to force through his switch to Villa.
