Roy Keane has reportedly held talks with Aston Villa over their vacant assistant manager's role after ruling himself out of contention for the Celtic managerial post.
The former Republic of Ireland international said that he did not want to be considered for the job for the Scottish champions following Neil Lennon's resignation last month.
According to the Daily Mail, the 42-year-old will instead take up the assistant role at Villa Park working alongside Paul Lambert, which will also allow him to continue his work as Martin O'Neill's assistant for the Republic of Ireland.
Villa's previous assistant Ian Culverhouse was dismissed from the Premier League side last month.
