Aston Villa will be attempting to end their long wait to record a double over Everton when they square off at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will be returning to the home of his former club's fierce rivals for the first time as a manager.
However, with Villa just four points clear of the 16th-placed Toffees, any nostalgia will be put on the backburner as the West Midlands outfit attempt to record a second win of the season against the same opponents.
That would represent something which has not been achieved since the 2000-01 campaign when Villa recorded 1-0 and 2-1 victories over the Merseyside team.
Earlier this season, Villa ran out 3-0 victors on home territory, each of their three strikes being scored during a nine-minute period in the second half.
Villa currently possess a five-match unbeaten streak against Everton, their last defeat coming by a 3-1 scoreline in Birmingham in March 2016. body check tags ::
