Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers on a long-term contract.
The West Midlands outfit have been attempting to bolster their attacking ranks through January as they bid to remain in contention at the top of the Premier League table.
Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United made it just one win in five for Unai Emery's side, and they now sit down in fifth place in the standings.
However, despite a number of bids having been rejected by Middlesbrough, Villa have finally got their preferred target for the month in Rogers.
While a fee has not been officially revealed, it is allegedly in the region of £15m, with Boro choosing to cash in on a player that they only signed from Manchester City last summer.
In loan stints with Lincoln City and Blackpool, Rogers failed to make a sustained impact, but the England Under-20 international proved to be a revelation in his short stint at the Riverside Stadium.
Rogers spearheaded Boro's charge to the EFL Cup semi-finals, where they eventually lost to Chelsea, with five goals and three assists from just six appearances.
Although just two goals and six assists came from 26 Championship outings, Rogers showcased his quality with a long-range strike against Chelsea in between bids being rejected by the North-East outfit.
The player is no stranger to the West Midlands having spent time in the West Bromwich Albion academy ranks before moving to Man City - who will receive a sell-on clause - in 2019.
Villa have given Rogers the number 27 shirt, and he will come into contention to make his debut when Villa square off against Sheffield United in the top flight on Saturday evening. body check tags ::
