Burnley striker Nahki Wells has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Aston Villa.
During the summer, Wells left Huddersfield Town to make the £5m switch to Turf Moor, but the Bermudan is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Clarets.
An ankle injury kept Wells on the sidelines during the opening months of the campaign, although the forward has been an unused substitute in Burnley's last two fixtures in the Premier League.
However, according to the Birmingham Mail, Villa boss Steve Bruce is considering a loan approach for Wells as he looks to strengthen his frontline at the start of 2018.
With Jonathan Kodjia missing until at least February and Scott Hogan not back until later this month, Bruce is not expected to waste much time before landing one of his targets in January.
Villa currently sit in fifth place in the Championship table, but just 29 goals have been scored in 21 games.
