Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is eyeing a short-term loan move for LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane, according to The Mirror.
Keane joined the MLS outfit from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, but could now be set for a quick return to the Premier League.
McLeish has identified the experienced goalscorer as an extra attacking option and is hoping to secure his services on a similar deal to that of Galaxy teammate Landon Donovan, who rejoined Everton earlier this week.
The Irishman may be open to the move in order for him to maintain his fitness levels ahead of this summer's European Championships.
However, much like Thierry Henry's imminent return to Arsenal, the move would need the approval of both Galaxy and the MLS, as well as a large insurance payment.
