Atalanta BC manager Stefano Colantuono has praised his team for their 1-0 victory over AC Milan this afternoon.
German Denis scored the winning goal as the Nerazzurri ended their four-game winless run at the San Siro.
"Milan are a very dangerous side if you leave them space, as their forwards are very fast, so we wanted to press them high up the field and not give them time on the ball," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"We tried to dispossess Milan as soon as possible, interrupting their passes when they tried to send [Jeremy] Menez wide. I thought we deserved to be more than a goal up at half-time, as we had some great scoring opportunities.
"There are regrets that we left the game open for so long. Luckily we remained compact and solid, so were able to hold out when Milan stepped up a gear in the second half."
Atalanta have moved up to 15th in the Serie A table following today's win.
