Atalanta BC midfielder Carlos Carmona is wanted by Sevilla this summer, according to his agent.

The agent of Atalanta BC midfielder Carlos Carmona has claimed that Sevilla want to sign his client this summer.

The 27-year-old, who is currently with Chile at the World Cup, is seen by the Spanish club as the perfect replacement for outgoing skipper Ivan Rakitic.

However, Leo Rodriguez has said that the two clubs are still some way apart in terms of the price.

"Atalanta wants €10m (£8m) and Sevilla is offering half. We are talking, Sevilla has liked Carlos since last year, when he was also wanted by Ukraine's Metalist," he told Tuttomercato.

Carmona has made 42 appearances for his country.
