Thibaut Courtois has insisted that Atletico Madrid would not be concerned about facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League after qualifying for the quarter-finals of the competition on Tuesday.
The Spanish club secured their progress by beating AC Milan 4-1 at the Vicente Calderon to earn a 5-1 aggregate triumph in the last-16 tie, and Courtois believes that their home form would give them confidence if they were asked to play defending champions Bayern.
"Bayern are so strong now, they are winning everything in Germany, but we can play any team now and they will suffer in the Vicente Calderon," the Belgian goalkeeper told reporters.
"Hopefully we can move on to the semis but there are still many games ahead."
Atletico will play in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 1997.
