AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien believes that the atmosphere inside the Vicente Calderon will play a part in their Champions League last-16 clash with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Milan travel to the Spanish capital trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Italy, but Essien is confident that his side can spring a surprise in Madrid.
"We know the kind of atmosphere that the Atletico fans can produce here," he told reporters at a press conference.
"We know we'll be able to feel that, but we're here to play football."
Essien represented Atletico's rivals Real Madrid while on loan from Chelsea last season.
