Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has admitted that his side were second best during their Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich this evening.
Diego Simeone's side were beaten 2-1 on the night at the Allianz Arena, but Griezmann's second-half strike proved to be decisive as Atleti reached the final on away goals.
Griezmann expressed his delight at the achievement, but insists that the immediate focus must be on the La Liga title race, with just one point separating the top three in Spain.
"We're delighted. It was difficult, a really hard game, we had a great opponent in front of us and we had to both defend and try to score. That's what we did," he told reporters.
"They were better, but we scored an away goal, which was important. We need to keep grounded and first of all think of the Liga before the final."
Atletico will face either Manchester City or local rivals Real Madrid in the final at San Siro on May 28.
