Mario Suarez has insisted that Atletico Madrid will travel to AC Milan on Wednesday looking to secure a first-leg advantage in their last-16 clash.
However, the midfielder has said that the Spanish side will be 'cautious' in their approach when they visit the San Siro.
"We know they have a great pedigree in this competition. We are going to a historic stadium and we can't wait. We will be looking to put in a good performance like always," he told the club's official website.
"The coach will tell us how to approach it and how we can hurt the opposition. We will be going for the win, just like at any stadium, but without losing sight of the fact that Milan is a great team.
"The unity in the squad played a key role again. We went out pumped up and conscious that it was an important match and fought for each other from the very beginning, as you could see from the two early goals."
Atletico have not lost in the Champions League this season.
