Atletico Madrid revealed today that Diego Costa was forced to miss training due to a thigh injury.
The prolific striker is a fitness doubt ahead of the club's La Liga title showdown and the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
A statement from the club said: "Diego Costa underwent tests to determine the extent of the grade one thigh injury muscle on his right leg.
"These tests have confirmed that there is no tear. The forward did not train with his teammates in the morning session on Friday."
Costa, who has scored 27 goals in 34 appearances, is likely to be ruled out of Sunday's match against Malaga.
